 Kindergarten
We're glad you're considering Griggs to provide an optimum education for your child. Kindergarten students have the option of learning from either of the two plans described below:

Course Descriptions

Bible
Learning to worship, giving thanks, being like Jesus, learning to make choices, the life of Jesus, Jesus as the Lamb, spreading the gospel, the Bible.
Accredited Tuition $34 per semester

Activity Units
Developing gross motor and fine motor skills.
Accredited Tuition $34 per semester

Reading
Identifying the uppercase and lowercase letters, beginning and some final consonant sounds, short vowel sounds, basic vocabulary words; reading simple sentences.
Accredited Tuition $34 per semester

 
Accredited Plan
Parents and qualified teachers of Griggs serve as partners in the education of the child. This plan offers the following services:

•  A Maryland state-approved and regionally-accredited curriculum
•  Parent's guides/activity sheets/tests (no answer keys for tests)
•  Teaching and grading services by qualified teachers
•  Assistance in advising, grading, and record keeping
•  Maryland state-recognized report card
•  Verification of enrollment upon request

Students may enroll for an entire grade or for individual subjects.

Non-Accredited Plan
Some parents prefer to have maximum freedom in educating their children but still like to use Griggs's well-developed curriculum. The non-accredited plan is for homeschooling parents who choose not to use Griggs's teaching, grading, or record keeping services. The plan offers the following services:

•  Carefully developed curriculum
•  Parent's guides/activity sheets/tests (no answer keys for tests)
•  Advising in placement of child in the proper grade level (if needed)

Please note that this plan is neither state-approved or accredited.
No report card or verification of enrollment is given. Placement testing and end-of-year achievement tests are available upon payment of a fee.

Students may order an entire grade or individual subjects.
